The UFCW 227 Foundation is about people coming together to make our communities stronger. Each year the UFCW 227 Foundation awards $10,000 in scholarships to five promising students pursuing post-secondary education. We believe that building a better future for ourselves and our families begins with investing today in the hard working men and women who will change the world.
UFCW Local 227 members, their spouses and dependents are eligible to apply. These scholarships are awarded to traditional and non-traditional students attending a four-year college or university as well as students attending a two-year community/ technical college or trade school. Applications for the 2018 Scholarship will be available the week after Thanksgiving.
A major source of funding for the UFCW 227 Foundation Scholarship Program are the funds generated from renting the UFCW 227 Union Hall (3330 Pinecroft Dr., Louisville, KY 40219) to UFCW 227 members and the community. If you’re interested in booking our union hall for your next wedding, birthday party or holiday event call our offices at (502) 582-3508 and dial “0”.
We received a record number of completed applications this year and are pleased to announce this year’s winners.
